My Teaching

I've worked through blocks and challenges both in my practice and in my life. I can relate when I see others doing that work and I connect with students on this level.

My teaching in āsana is rooted right in the center of my own personal experience on my yoga mat and the passion and excitement the practice holds for me. I've spent a lot of time practicing. I've dedicated myself to that.

I know what it is to practice: the joys and the challenges. From my own experience of going through this process in a rather intense way I can say that it is important to have good teachers and fellow yogis with whom to talk and share. There is so much to be learned about yoga and sometimes it doesn't start to make sense until later.

Experiences we have in our lives relate to our practice but it isn't always obvious how or why until we've had a chance to let things percolate. That's the process -- and aside from my love of yoga and my passion for it, what I can share with students is my understanding.
